Are you attmpting to use it as a controller for software, or are you trying to hook it up to laptop to record your mix?

Hi,

All you need is the American Audio
"Audio Genie II" and a set of RCA
cables and you can record all your
mixes from your set-up to your pc.
The Audio Genie II includes "Audacity"
which allows you to record mixes, from
an existing DJ set-up,vinyl sources,or auxiliary inputs. I use it to transfer
vinyl (rare hard to find 12" mixes) to
my pc and it works great.
It also allows you to use your laptop
as an additional playback source.

Any sound card will do, but the Audio Genie does make it easy, and will give you good sound quality.
