SDJ1 + SDHC

Does anyone know if the SDJ1 has been upgraded.
The one I received today has an SDHC-logo on it.
In the manual and on the box it says not compatible with SDHC-cards.
But on all the pictures I can find on the net there's a normal SD-logo on the player and mine has an SDHC-logo on it.
Will this mean it is SDHC compatible.

Hi,

As far as I know the SDJ-1 will NOT accept
SDHC cards. The SDJ-2 however DOES...AND it had a usb port for a flash drive...and it has its own built in mixer.

Yes,
There were "upgraded" units of the SDJ-1 that do use SDHC cards. If your unit has the SDHC logo it WILL support HC cards.

Hi,

I just did a bit of digging around and I stumbled upon a youTube video with a guy
and an upgraded SDJ-1 (SDHC compatable) and
found out a few things. Yes there are SDJ-1's that will accept SDHC cards, but there are a few other things I found out as well.
First, the (upgraded) SDJ-1 is running firmware version 18.21 and non SDHC compatible units run a much older version 16.XX. Second, it was discovered that they can not read more than 999 tracks on a single card (the display can't read any numbers higher like 1000 and up).
You can basically use up to an 8 gig SDHC card on these units but nothing larger because the unit's display can't read more than 999 tracks.
I'm not sure if the updated firmware (18.21) is available but I'm sure someone knows how to find it or make it available. It appears also that with the updated firmware that a non-SDHC compatable unit will work with SDHC cards once
the updated firmware has been installed but I'm not positive on this. This information is base solely on what I saw in the video.

Here's a link to the video:
