Hi guys I'm new to this forum and have just (1 month ago) purchased the SDJ1. Its worked perfectly until last weekend at a gig and the system suddenly 'froze' (stopped playing) and wouldn't read my SD cards in either slot. I had to power the unit off and on again to get it to start reading the cards again. Any idea why this happened and what's the fix, if any? Thanks.

Hi,
I've just bought one of these units too. Despite reading quite a few bad comments, I thought that for all the advantages the SDJ-1, offers it was worth a punt! I'll tempt fate and say that so far I've had no trouble. As I have so far only used 2Gb cards I just wonder if using a smaller card (you don't say what you're using) might solve your problem. Just a suggestion, hope you get sorted Cheers..........Brian. |

I have noticed a few weird hiccups when using the 4gig cards and I contribute it to them not being HC so they may not be properly formated. If that is what your using I would say snag a few more 1 and 2 gigs to compensate, I find the smaller cards help me to stay more organized anyhow.

Hi, I've just completed ten gigs with my new SDJ-1 without any problems at all, and I'm using the 4Gb cards.
The unit is superbly versatile and I am delighted. (wish I hadn't said that now)! Hope you've got your problem sorted by now loracle, if not, stick with it 'cause it's worth sorting!! |

Hi, just thought I'd "report in" on my SDJ-1.
I've now had the unit for three months and it has been well gigged in that time. I'm using 4GB. SD cards (not HC) and I've had no problems whatever. I'd recommend the SDJ-1 to anyone, it's a great product!! Brian. |
