trying to get some opinions prior to my purchase, how easy is it to use and would you recommend I buy one? I am not looking to scratch just playing music (trance, techno, house...etc.)

You will do great with this package, i seldom use the scratch feature, but it's not quite the same as a turntable scratch, if you are new to scratch this feature might work but if you were an addict of scratch with turntables the cd will take a lot of use to get to master this effect. I'm a disco and freestyle, techno person and i mix seamlessly with this, in heaven needless to say. I mixed plenty of vinyl back in the day for money and having a great time with cd for fun.
