I am making the transition from cd to laptop. Why buy new equipmet??

To open up the unit, remove the large head screws from the bottom. to remove the top the are a few wires inside to disconnect. There is a gray wire on each side with 3 wires in each, which you need to remove to get the top off. these are the wires you need to tap into. They a label on the board L, R, and Grnd.

Add the 4 jacks, the drilling is a little tricky, and you have to trim the plastic cover.

Run the signal to your connective, then back to the inputs on the unit.

Enjoy!!!!

Here's the internal view:

If you want to use it as control cd's you can mod it like I did:

I have the red wire and two blacks running from each cd'j, to the output jacks which i installed at the bottom right

Also if you plan to use the unit for serious gigs you want to install a fan inside it. My unit would overheat after 6 hours each and every gig. But not to fear, this is done very easily

Wire a small 12V computer fan into the power supply board at the front right of the unit

Then place it right under cd1's board w some tie raps.

So... out of the factory, the unit is a little scetchy, but now with the mods, i've built it into one kick ass unit.

DO NOT do THE FAN Mod. At least from where I said to hook it up. Need to find new source for the POWER...

*** You can use a regulare 4" fan from a power supply. Cut off the Yellow wire if there is one. Tie it into a 9-12V DC Adaptor. Low Output min is 210ma.

Blow it in threw the left hand side. Secure fan with it able to breath.

*** This method has been tested at my last
Loft Jam. Unit ran smooth all night AAA+++

This is much simpler for you Dj Space kid. It was such a relief to have it run smooth all night. now just gotta figure out how to get power to the fan inside ????
