I purchased an American Audio CK-800 mp3 mixer unit from my supplier here in the U.K. on 3rd May 2008. For a number of months now I have been experiencing problems with the unit as follows:

1. After a random length of time (usually after 1 hour) one of the CD decks malfunctions (can be either side). The CD digital display seems to malfunction with the words not being clear and the CD deck failing to play and delays in the door opening and closing. However after about 10 minutes the faulty CD deck seems to correct itself and continue as normal for the rest of the night (usually approx 4 hours in total). Some occasions CD deck 1 malfunctions and on other occasions CD deck 2 malfunctions.

2. More recently, the play button on the right hand CD deck (deck 2) is very temperamental and when pressed does not play. I have to press it a number of times (varies) before it plays the CD.

It has got to a stage where I can not use this unit at a professional gig due to these problems.

Any assistance as to the cause of these problems and any advice to rectify them would be greatly appreciated.

I have the same problems with the deck doors opening and closing, it sometimes looks like its not getting enough power to the unit to open or close the doors. This is not just your unit, I have only used my unit at about 10 gigs!
