I have an MCD-810 that lately is exhibiting some quirks. Last night it would not play MP# discs or regular CD's that were burned with TDK brand discs. I have always burned with 16X and nothing slower. It has always worked fine for me even though the manual says 2x-4x. Has anybody had issues with burn speeds and/or brand of CD's Let's hear some comments on this.

If you aren't burning at the recommended speed then you can't complain if you have issues. Also not all brands of CD-R's work well for playback. I usually stick to one brand and use nothing else.

Oh brilliant one, just remember that with today's CD burners it is difficult or unattainable to burn at 2X-4X. Denon has no problem reading at 16X and actually requires higher speeds for proper audio quality and reliability. Hello American Audio....
