I have one of these along with a maya ex5 to connect my turntables to my pc and out to a mixer. With just this one hooked up (or both) it has a high pitch sound that keeps sounding like a high high hum.
i brought some y splitters to split up both left and right of both tables so I have real tables on phono, and the other end to the cards which runs virtualdj timecodes. the signal is a fax machine but comes out to mixer as music from pc. The timecode isn't even on the table and I hear the buzz. I noticed the audio genie doesn't have any software so I can control anything technical with it i was thinking of lowering the levels of input or something but cant without options. doesn't let me do anything in recording just playback with windows sound controller. also the out cables when touched make a louder buzz so the cables are powered if that helps.. the tables are grounded to the mixer. hope one of u can help b/c its ahrd to record or mix with such a high noise (signal to noise ratio i guess u call it?) |
