When I boot up my SDJ-1 the left screen just shows UPDATEUI__ and the right screen is blank. How do I fix this?

did u ever get the update ? i was gonna buy this unit but i read your post & made me wonder so i looked at the website & the link is missing for the sdj-1 update ? so how good is the unit in a whole ? because $300.00 is alot email me bak djtyme209@gmail.com thanx

I have had a few units that have had this problem. You need to upload the update info. off of the adjaudio website. Currently, it is not there but it should be posted a little later today (5/14/08). Follow the instructions for the download and make sure to delete the update from your SD card once you have completed the update to the SDJ-1.

Actually I got the update however when I worked with the tech the unit would not read the card. Called the vendor and got the unit replaced. The other unit worked great on my last gig. NO Problems what so ever!!! My Recommendation go to Walmart and by a business card holder book. They are about 5-10 dollars. Put business cards in it. Write on the back of the business cards about what the SD card contains. Like Billboard POP Chart 2007. Then place the card in the card holder as well. Oh yeah label the SD card so you know where to put it back. My book has 3 business cards per page and holds 20 pages. DJ Tyme, get this unit. Also make sure you clear it out of demo mode before your first gig!! Demo Mode keeps the 2nd SD Card slot from working. The cool thing was my Laptop still has most of my music on it. I brought it with me and a small 512mb card that I shuffled songs back and forth with ease. I also need to get a book together of all the songs and locations so I can leave the laptop at home.

Hey work with the American DJ group to get the update. They do a great job in the customer service department. Mine has continued to work great and I still recommeend this product despite the issue I had. They replaced it no problems.
