well i recently purchased the cdi 500 package. and after doin a little research i have come across some people having problems with these decks. is this something that i should be worried about? will it ruin a gig? just a little nervous. any help will be appriciated

i also have these decks. a couple of problems i have come across are: cd's wont eject, scratch mode freezez and will not allow you to back cue, loading takes long. but get them cleaned regularly by your retailer and the ge back to normal. hope this helps

I have had both the CDI-500's and CDI-500MP3 for a couple of years, and haven't experienced any issues with either.

I have two in which one takes a long time to read disc and it'll eventually say no disc. I timed it once before to see how long it'll take before it'll read it and it took almost 15 mins! Good thing I wasn't at a party. The other I have to really press down on the "s" and "m" buttons in order for them to store a loop in any of the "banks" Even the those don't work: I have to really push down to get them to light up and only up to two works, the rest don't and the little door that opens and the tray comes out broke. I'm thinking about sending them to adjaudio for repair, not sure yet though.
