1).Does any1 know where to get service or repair manuals for the CDI 500 MP3? 2).what do u do wen a Cd is stuck in the deck? 3).what can be done to stop buttons from performing weird or even make them respond?
I tilt the cd player forward and push the eject bottom.. quition does your cd player only play certain cd's p.s if u have the insurance on your cd player u can send to them
I was thinking of switching to computer based but can't seem to leave the sound quailty of CD's nor how the system feels and looks especially when folks come up to request a song and see my current Numark Axis 8 system. It impresses the heck out of them. That wouldn't be the case with a laptop. Problem is I'm finding the current system to be limited and more importantly skipping from time to time. I'm looking at replacing with the CDI 500 system it looks amazing and love the steel case it comes in. Any worries or problems with this system I should know before I make the purchase.

I'm also looking at buying the CDI 500 setup w/ pro audio. I plan on running this in my tournament so I'll post the feedback I get from CD Tablists. It's not till May but if you know anyone who plans on buying this will be a good chance for a proper DJ review.

I recently bought cdi 500 decks. 1 of them is working fine but the other has a problem and im wondering if any1 can help me with the it. It switches on fine and powers up, but instantly, it starts to try and load a cd automatically, as you can here the drive winding, trying to pull in. It does this for a few seconds, then, once it realises that there is no cd being loaded,it comes up with "error" on the screen ,and does nothing,no cd can be put it or anything once this is showing on screen. It stays like this when the power is switched on. If i was to put a cd at the loader with the power off and switch it on it would load it and work fine, but if i was to remove the cd, it would go back to its old tricks, meaning i would have to keep switching it on and off just to load cds! please help, im worried it could be damaged or something, and is there something i can do to sort it? the manual doesnt have any sort of troubleshooter.

I'm also having a problem with one of my cdi 500 mp3 decks. They are both only a year old maybe a little more, one works great still and the other turns on but has a blank blue screen and none of the buttons are lit up and the buttons also don't work now. I ordered in a new unit to replace it but i'd like to know if there is a manufacturers defect in this product. I'm not the only one who seems to be having a problem with this unit.
Appearantly Im not the only one with this problem. One of mine works completely fine but the other one works for about five minutes then randomly the sccreen goes blank but stays on. Then it resets and reloads the disc. It works fora bout another minute before doing the same thing. I think it reflects a problem with the company if everyone is having similar problems.
