Not that I am giving up my laptop anytime soon but I rest easy knowing that I can now leave my backup CD's at home. 10 SD Cards and I am loaded!! Just got the SDJ1 on 9/8/08 and it works like a charm and performs all of the functions like seamless loop, etc., perfectly. I am going to buy an SDJ2, when they come out, to use for wedding ceremonies and cocktail hours as well as a great backup system. Just catorize what you have on your SD Cards and you're good to go. Even makes a great main system if you don't want to tote your laptop around.

Ya I actually got the SDJ1 because it was a fairly cheap solution to my lack of rack space in my road box but I am really loving it.
I recently built a laptop shelf attachment to my roadbox (I built the road box myself so I could do stuff like that to it as I needed to) and now I can keep my mini-laptop and external hardrive handy for when someone makes a request for something I don't have. I'm actually surprised how handy it's becoming. I personally can't wait for the SDJ2 so I can eliminate my laptop entirely and go direct from my 1 terabyte external, that's gonna be a great day. |
