Hi, my friends and i have all the proper equipment we need to get going but we are struggling to find proper ways to get work. we posted on facebook and we are going to local schools. are there any websites that offer free ways to get your name out there?

Hi there, All depends if your after particular types of gigs, your age i.e. are you under 21 ? etc if you are over 21, the next few months are important to all djs as all the Christmas and New year bookings start to happen,
So Contact all hotels, golf clubs, bars etc, ask if you can pop along and talk to them about there plans for christmas time etc. If they say too early take the name and ask when you can call them back. There will be a lot of corporate gigs around this time.

now if your under 21 try the schools and colleges when they go back for the Fall, term, find out who books the school festive dances etc.

Bars, I would try at this stage to get a regular bar gig, you get a lot of weddings and partys from being the regular dj in a bar, pub

you could offer your services on a quite night at a discount for first booking or a special price for 3 you wont get as much in a bar but you wont have to take so much kit and its nice experiance. worth a go,,,,,,, check us out on DJ Tutor.com there there a few videos on this subject.
