Hi,

I see that Pioneer,Numark and Denon ALL have units that control portable hard drives, usb drives and even have hard drives built-in.
Why hasn't this idea caught on with ADJ?
I'd like to see a unit with a dual controller,
selectable source input (for playback on either side) which would have usb keyboard support (for faster searches), selectable source input (CD,USB 1 -top of controller or USB 2 - rear of controller) and make it expandable via a usb hub. It could handle cd's,usb flash drives up to 32 gig, portable hard drives and have all the features dj's like such as seamless looping, tempo lock, fader start and playlist creation. It should feature a single lcd screen and allow for firmware upgrades.
Also it should be capable of reading up to 99,999 songs.

Well When everyone else's R&D was looking at USB technology, ADJ was trying to go a little different and go with smaller, more stable media, and decided to proceed developing SD media players. They are now starting to support USB devices, with the new Radius players, and I would be willing to bet that USB supported dual unit players that resemple the DP2 will be out shortly.

PS check out the Radius 3000. It supports everything.
